All mammals have an endocannabinoid system (ECS), and its most important function is the maintenance, balance and homeostasis of bodily functions.
The ECS is comprised of CB1 and CB2 receptors.
CB1 regulates the gastrointestinal tract, appetite, lungs, vascular system, reproductive organs, sleep, pain, mood, cognition, brain and memory. CB2 regulates inflammation, skin, spleen, bone and glial cells. And CB 1 + 2 together regulate the liver, immune system, pancreas, bone marrow, and brainstem.

The conditions listed above can all be targeted by using either our Fortify or Spectrum oils. However, the severity of your pet’s condition will make a difference in which product you choose.
When health conditions are mild-to-moderate, we always recommend our Fortify oils, which in most cases offer animals all the relief needed. Fortify oils contain only pure, CBD isolate. To formulate them, CBD is isolated from all other compounds found in the hemp plant and crystallized, resulting in a pharmaceutical-grade product. There is nothing except the CBD molecule in this oil, which makes it straightforward to dose and measure. Fortify oils are the perfect starting point for most pet health concerns, and animals generally experience all the relief they need for common pet conditions.
However, whenever pet ailments are considered severe-to-extreme, we recommend Spectrum oils, which are formulated to address more complex concerns. Our Spectrum line is made using a full spectrum oil. This means that all the naturally-occurring cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and other compounds (including CBD) found in the entire hemp plant make their way into the final product. There is growing evidence that full spectrum oil can be more effective for some animals and in some circumstances. This is due to what’s known as the ‘entourage effect,’ where all the compounds work together symbiotically to become more effective. Although our Spectrum blend contains trace amounts of THC (0.3%), it’s important to note that this is not nearly enough to produce any psychoactive effect in your pet. Its presence is simply to be a part of the full profile of the hemp plant, so that all compounds can work together to boost product efficacy. Spectrum oils are best for pets with serious, advanced, or debilitating conditions, including epilepsy, cancers and other illnesses.
